(WIP) Cryo Mechanic Exploration Map

Work including

  • Designing map geo and performing blockout

  • Taking special care to control the amount of information exposed to players from moment to moment

  • Leading the player using environmental cues

  • Teaching the core mechanic of “Cryo Gas” using the environment and layering on teaching encounters with the mechanic to create a satisfying puzzle at the end

  • Modeling assets in Blender

  • Scripting modular blueprint systems for Cryo Gas, the Tanks that hold it, the pipes that deliver it, and the levers/valves players will interact with to manipulate it. Overall result is a interconnected web of simple BPs with powerful gameplay implications
